I met with Ricardo Santos, Senior Product Manager, Cloud & Virtualisation for Commvault in Denver, Colorado. We conversed about the Commvault GO 2019 event and Kubernetes and containers. He shared a brief overview of what made Ricardo focus on this inside Commvault, were to from here for Commvault and partners/customers now that cloud computing and containers are the new normal, some of the Use Cases, Ricardo and Commvault are seeing this play out across. Our conversation started with what he is doing inside CommVault around the entire space of virtualization and cloud, particularly containers and Kubernetes.
Dez asked Ricardo to introduce himself and tell us about his role as Senior Product Manager, Cloud & Virtualisation for Commvault in Denver, Colorado. He told us about his journey, career path, and more in complete detail.

Later while concluding the conversation, Dez asked Ricardo to share his perception of the cloud. He stated how we all had seen an extensive rollout of private cloud. Further, Ricardo stated the use cases and further explained that agile DevOps orchestration on automation and mouldy cloud that was again a great thing at Convo Go 2019.
Dez, at last, stated how people used to believe that CommVault is like the backup company well it is a data protection company that falls directly into that space which is not just DevOps production and is being containerized and put into Kubernetes, and that’s just the new normal so that data protection of space around virtualization and cloud and containers it’s just a natural evolution.
