Nokia Launches New 5G mmWave Receiver To Add Capacity To Fixed Wireless Access Networks

In an exciting forwards stride towards the advancement of telecommunications infrastructure, Nokia, a global leader in technology solutions, has unveiled its latest innovation: a 5G mmWave receiver. Operators that have successfully deployed FWA frequently come up against capacity challenges. mmWave is ideally suited to solve this, allowing operators to add capacity where needed. Our High-Gain, 360-degree mmWave technology eliminates line-of-sight hurdles associated with mmWave, making it easier for operators to deploy and quickly add capacity to their FWA network.”

The deployment of mmWave technology is particularly transformative in urban areas, where network congestion and bandwidth limitations pose significant challenges to existing infrastructure. Nokia’s 5G mmWave receiver offers a scalable solution to address these challenges, enabling operators to deliver high-speed broadband services, immersive multimedia experiences, and mission-critical applications in densely populated urban environments.

Moreover, Nokia’s commitment to interoperability and compatibility ensures seamless integration with existing 5G networks and infrastructure. The device will expand the addressable market of homes and businesses for premium fixed wireless access services.”
